Portuguese Pasteis de Nata
For all baking enthusiasts who always wanted to try it at home, here is my personal Pastel de Nata recipe.
1 packet of fresh puff pastry
For the filling:
300 ml Mich
100 g of cream
30 g of flour
150 g of sugar
6 egg yolks
Also cinnamon and powdered sugar to sprinkle on top
- Mix ingredients for the filling and stir until smooth. Boil while stirring until it thickens. Pour in a bowl and cover with foil.
- Roll up the puff pastry from the narrow side and cut into 12 slices.
- Press discs flat, and put them inbetween baking paper – roll out and put in the hollows of a muffin sheet.
- Distribute cream on it.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 250 degrees.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon
